Former Longhorn Keilan Robinson drafted 167th overall by Jacksonville Jaguars in 2024 NFL Draft

Robinson could handle kickoff and punt return duties early on in the NFL.

AUSTIN, Texas — Former Texas Longhorns running back Keilan Robinson is headed to Duval County, Florida.

The Jacksonville Jaguars selected Robinson with the 167th pick in the fifth round of the 2024 NFL Draft.

A redshirt senior in 2023, Robinson was more known for his returning abilities rather than as a running back while at Texas.

As a returner, Robinson tallied over 900 yards in three seasons returning kicks for the Longhorns, adding both a kick and punt return touchdown to his stat line.

Robinson will now compete for a roster spot in rookie minicamp and training camp ahead of the NFL preseason. His ability to return kicks and punts in the wake of the league's overhauling of kickoffs may make him an asset on special teams early in his career.
