AUSTIN, Texas — Kelsey Sanchez joined the KVUE News team as a multiskilled journalist/reporter in February 2023.
Kelsey comes from WACH in Columbia, South Carolina, where she served as a multimedia journalist for two years, reporting on a range of topics from gun violence to community concerns and politics.
Before taking the leap into an on-air position, Kelsey worked for nearly four years at South Florida's No. 1 news station, WSVN, in Miami – her hometown – where she was an associate producer.
She graduated from the University of Florida (go Gators!), where she earned a Bachelor's degree in telecommunications.
Kelsey comes from a Cuban family and can speak Spanish. Some things you will likely learn about her are she can't start her day without coffee, and she takes great passion in being able to tell stories correctly and efficiently.
Kelsey is thrilled to be in Austin and to explore everything the Capital City is known for – especially the food!
