After a community vote, the names of Punxsutawney Phil and Phyllis's children have been released!
"Welcome with us as we say hello to little girl Sunny and a boy, Shadow," announced Punxsutawney Groundhog Club's Vice President, Dan McGinley. "With pride and joy as the kids play, from Punxsutawney, happy Mother's Day."
In a Facebook post, the club thanked everyone for their input and support with name suggestions, and added that they discussed the names with Phil in "groundhogese."
Sunny and Shadow were welcomed in late March 2024 by the famous groundhog, Phil, and his wife, Phyllis.
